Cast a Fly 12 Months a Year!
Monthly Get-Together and Fish at Pickering Creek
Starting June 2019, RN|TU is getting together the 2nd Saturday of each month, 12 months a year, to fish our adopted home waters of Pickering Creek. An RN|TU representative will be there each month to assist new fly fishers, answer questions and just enjoy some fishing on this lovely, stocked stream. A PA fishing license with trout stamp is required.
RN|TU Reps will be arriving around 10am, depending on weather, and fishing for a couple hours at least, though you are invited to arrive and leave as early or late as you wish!
ATTENTION: September 14 trip cancelled due to heat.
Pickering Creek is very warm right now, in the mid 70’s. When water is this warm, most trout leave to find cooler spots. Catching trout in such warm water often is lethal for the fish even if handled carefully.
