Cast a Fly 12 Months a Year!
Monthly Get-Together and Fish at Pickering Creek
Starting June 2019, RN|TU is getting together the 2nd Saturday of each month, 12 months a year, to fish our adopted home waters of Pickering Creek. An RN|TU representative will be there each month to assist new fly fishers, answer questions and just enjoy some fishing on this lovely, stocked stream. A PA fishing license with trout stamp is required.
RN|TU Reps will be arriving around 10am, depending on weather, and fishing for a couple hours at least, though you are invited to arrive and leave as early or late as you wish!
ATTENTION: July 13 trip cancelled due to heat.
Pickering Creek is very warm right now, between the mid 70’s and near 80°. When water is this warm, most trout leave to find cooler spots. Catching trout in such warm water often is lethal for the fish even if handled carefully.
